Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear Friends,

This week's Gospel passage tells us to "be like servants who await their master's return from a wedding" (Lk 12:36) - to be vigilant for the Lord! Today, I find the invitation to reflect on the ways we've become complacent in our faith. What do we take for granted? What do we do without intentionality? What have we stopped doing that we used to do when we first encountered the Lord?

Would you describe your faith as a raging fire? If not, what can you do to fan the flame? If you do feel the zeal of the Holy Spirit, what can you do with it? What is God calling you to share with the world? St. Catherine of Siena has a famous line: "If you are what you should be, you will set the whole world on fire!"

Let us ask for the grace to fight complacency in our lives, to not take God's love for granted, and to embrace each moment as a gift!

God bless,
Amy
