There are many ways to offer a planned gift, listed below. For more information, please contact Patrick Travers at ptravers@saintsaj.org. Please consult your legal or financial advisor before making a gift. If you include the Newman Center in your plans, please use our legal name and EIN:

Bequests and Beneficiary Designations

A simple and easy way to support the Newman Center for future generations is to leave a gift to Penn Newman in your will. You can also name Penn Newman as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary on your IRA, retirement plan, life insurance policy or annuity.

While not required, sharing your intentions with us allows us to express our gratitude to you! Should you choose to not remain anonymous, your gift may inspire other gifts as well.

IRA Distributions

Often, a gift through your IRA distribution can have substantial tax benefits for you. Please review your options with your financial advisor to see how you can get the most out of your gift!

The Newman Center at St. Agatha-St. James may accept gifts made via stock, bonds and/or mutual funds through our partnership with the Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia. For more information, please submit this form.

Endowment Gifts

The Newman Center has an established Endowment through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Gifts to these endowments can be made in any amount, at any time. Pledges and monthly gift options are also welcomed.

To create a new endowment fund, generally gifts must be a minimum of $50,000 with a minimum of $10,000 gift to establish the fund. The purpose must be approved by the pastor, followed by diocesan approval, prior to the creation of the endowment fund. Please consult Patrick Travers for additional information on endowment funds if this giving opportunity is of interest to you.

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

— 1 Peter 4:10

When you give to your place of worship as an act of worship, you are becoming more of the person God calls you to be. When you give, you are tangibly making a difference in someone's life starting with your own - lives are touched and people meet Jesus. There's no better investment in the world than the local parish church.
