wenty-fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Dear Friends,
The Gospel today tells us that "the person who is trustworthy in small matters is also trustworthy in great ones". This reminds me of St. Teresa of Calcutta's motto: "Small things with great love". It seems counterintuitive but small things actually hold a lot of gravity. One word, one smile, one social media post can bring so much joy to someone! Likewise, what seems like a small act to you might ruin someone else's day or might end up being very hurtful. Today, I encourage us all to be mindful of our actions - the things we do and the things we don't do. Our decisions reveal a lot about ourselves - and God looks at everything. He cares about every detail of your life. He doesn't just read your resume, your college application, your instagram profile. He is always with you, loving you and calling you to do small things with great love. We never quite know all the consequences of our actions, but little sacrifices to love God and love others will shape us into the saints that God made us to be.
Let us pray for each other on that journey to be saints!
God bless,
Amy
