Parousiam Retreat
Need to get away from Drexel craziness for a little? Need to reconnect with God? Drexel Newman is hosting a Fall Retreat so you can all recharge your emotional and spiritual batteries. We'll start on November 7th at the Newman Center at 7pm, and then head to Camp Henlopen in Deleware, walking distance from the beach on the 8th! We will return to campus Sunday evening. Drexel Newman is hosting an open house at the Newman Center (3720 Chestnut) for families on November 9th at 10:30am, following the 9:30am mass at Saints Agatha and James. Please RSVP for the event HERE.

Poker night! Need we say more? Come to the Newman Office (room 302, Paul Peck Problem Solving and Research Center) on Thursday night at 8pm for some food, poker, and Wawa gift cards for the winners!

Want to have more say in how Newman is run? Want some service and leadership opportunities?  Drexel Newman's leadership term ends at the end of December and we're looking for new leaders to step up! Also, we've made some slight changes to our leadership structure, which is reflected in the application form (and is an update from previous forms). Service and Justice in Philadelphia Class
Want to earn credits by taking an awesome social justice class through Drexel being taught by the interfaith professional staff at Drexel (including the Mikes!)? Of course you do! Here is the course description: Explore social justice from a faith-based perspective, concentrating on Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Students will formulate their own definition of social justice using an integrative approach of both classroom learning and working with faith-based organizations in Philadelphia. 10 service hours required as part of the course.
 
Open mic Night

Calling all musicians! On Friday, November 21st, join Drexel Newman for an open mic night at 8pm at the Newman Center (3720 Chestnut). There will be a drum set and PA system already set up--please bring any extra instrumentation with you! This event is BYO--ID's will be checked at the door and bracelets handed out. Please bring no more than a six-pack of beer, as per Drexel University regulations. If you would like to come and perform, please sign up for a slot HERE. Local blues legends Lickety-Split will be performing in between sets!
